“Say Yes” by Elliot Smith. I listened to this song on repeat after this one girl I liked broke my heart. I’d drive around, listen to this and basically feel sorry for myself. When you want to take a long bath in self pity, you put on a little Elliot Smith. During that time a friend told me that Elliot Smith committed suicide by stabbing himself in the chest, twice. Being spurned by a girl didn’t seem to bother me as much once I found that out.
